We are looking for a highly experienced and energetic executive with a strong background in Human Resource Management. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional strategic leadership skills across all facets of human resources, including Recruitment, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Return to Work (RTW), Workers' Compensation (WC), and Learning and Development (L&D). A hands-on approach and a deep understanding of contemporary human resources is essential.

The successful candidate will be an influential leader ready to make a meaningful impact.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage human resources at a national level from both a day to day and strategic level.

  • Provide high-level support and guidance to Contract Managers and Human Resources Managers across GEO’s operations.

  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to influence the direction of Australian operations.

  • Oversee the people services function, including HR, OHS, RTW, WC, and L&D.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

  • Manage and oversee GEO’s RTO and develop and implement training programs that enhance organisational performance.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the HR team.

 

About the Candidate

  • Possess a degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated executive-level experience across a diverse range of Human Resource Management.

  • Strong alignment with GEO's values: integrity, respect, accountability, agility, and innovation.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.

  • Proven track record in strategic leadership and operational execution in HR functions.

  • Ability to lead and mentor teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Results-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes for the organisation and its people.
